Louise (Bauer) Allen, formerly of Kensington, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at Middlesex Hospital.

Louise grew up in New Britain and was a graduate of New Britain High School and the Teacher's College of Connecticut.  She was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the W.E.L.C.A.  She lived in Kensington for 45 years.  Louise taught school for 40 years in the New Britain and Berlin school systems.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Hahn and son-in-law John, as well as two grandchildren, Christopher and Jaclyn Hahn of Massachusetts.  She also leaves a brother, William Bauer of Avon.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 295 Arch St., New Britain, CT  06051.
